Vineyards
The vineyards of Rias Baixas are very fragmented, divided into thousands of small parcels spread throughout the region. In many ways the distribution of the different sites is probably even more diverse and widespread than those of Burgundy!
At Castro Martin we own 11 hectares of vineyards, divided between 4 separate sites. The largest, known by us as El Pazo, is 5 hectares and situated in the very heart of Ribadumia. This walled vineyard is one of the larger sites of the Salnés Valley, and owing to its quartz and granite subsoils, supplies us with our very best and most typical albariño grapes….
